Next of kin given as his sister Dr Venters of Archibald Place, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Commenced return to Australia on 29 September 1915 aboard HS Kanowna arrived in Melbourne on 22 November 1915 the re-embarked the same day for duty.
On 28 January 1916 left Suez to return to Australia as a guard disembarking on 3 March 1916
