Captain Steel died at the 55th Battery position off Menin Road, Ypres, Belgium on 06 AUG 1917 and was buried in Vlamertinghe New Military Cemetery position VIII. D. 1 on 07 AUG 1917, service conducted Chaplain Reverend P.S. Moore
