Biography

Leslie Alfred Mullins was born 11 April 1901 at Beechworth, Victoria, son of Alfred Mullins (railway employee) and Ethel Kirkham.  Les, who worked for the Melbourne tramways initially, married Florence Hatt on 7 March 1925 in Mitcham Victoria.  They later moved to Brisbane and lived in Wooloowin.  Les enlisted as a storeman in the RAAF on 4 June 1942, and served in various parts of northern Australia.  He was discharged on 15 Jan 1946.  Les died on 7 June 1984 at Murgon, QLD aged 83.
