Loxton Farmer Killed
LOXTON, March 29.
Lance Hickman (39), a returned soldier farmer, married, with one child, was run over by a waggon and killed today. He had been carting superphosphate from the railway station to the farm of his neighbor, Mr. F. Clift, and had left to return home. Some time later he was discovered on the road, with his head severely crushed. It is not known how he came to fall off the waggon, but it was apparent that he had been dragged for some distance. Dr. Dorsch  ordered his removal to the Loxton Hospital, where he died from a fractured skull about 8 p.m., shortly after his admission.
