14 Aug 1914: Involvement Australian and Colonial Military Forces - Boer War Contingents, Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force, German New Guinea, Member of Australian Garrison Artillery where he became 2nd Lt from 1910 to 1914. Joined First Expeditionary Force to leave Australia to PNG & 2nd in charge of H company. Their service was to seize German wireless stations in German New Guinea.
