Gerald ('Geoff') CRAMER (1928-2021)

Born and raised in Balmain, Sydney, 'Geoff' Cramer joined the RAAF in 1950.

He trained as a Navigator and went on to serve with No.2 Squadron in South Vietnam durng 1969, where he distinguished himslef as the Bombing Leader of the squadron. In March 1969 he was awarded a 'Top Gun' plaque from the US Air Force 35th Tactical Fighter Wing for bombing accuracy.

He also created a RAAF record by completing 3000 flying hours on his 275th mission.

He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Geoff left the RAAF in 1975 after 25 years service at the rank of Squadron Leader.

Married to Dawn, they had two children, Debra and Mark.

He retired to the RSL Care Retirement Living centre at Myrtle Bank, where he died on 22 December 2021.
