Kenneth Owne Veale was born at Bangalow, New South Wales on the 21st September 1924. He attended St Peter's Primary School in Glen Innes and was a cabinet maker. He joined the Australian Airforce and served as an AirCraft Mechanic on Mk V111 Spitfires. He was posted to the 548 Squadron and saw service with the Squadron in Darwin. When retired from the Air Force he again took up service in the Australian Army with a posting to Toowoomba reaching the rank of Captain on completion of his military career he purchased a service station in Brisbane. The son of Ken Veale he married Mavis Veale and they had one son Glenn Veale. Kenneth died on the 1st December 2005 at the age of 81 years and is remembered at the Albany Creek Memorial Park Cemetery & Crematorium Lawn Gardens.
