Son of Phillip and Catherine Rogers of 48 West Street, Malsteg, South Wales. Brother of Zachariah Rogers of East Collie, WA and David Rogers who was killed in action on 28 July 1915 while serving with the 4th Battalion and is buried in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery Plot 1, Row C, Grave 15
