"...613 Corporal John Daly, 21st Battalion. A labourer from Stawell, Vic prior to enlistment, Daly embarked as a Private from Melbourne with C Company on HMAT Ulysses on 8 May 1915. After originally being listed as missing in action, it was later determined that he was killed in action on 26 August 1916 at Pozieres, France, aged 44.
