Gnr Archibald Frederick Allison
Son of Wilhelmina (nee Grant) and Archibald Allison.
Born in Melbourne 1894. A tailor's cutter, from Prahran, Vic, he enlisted 3 November 1916.
He served as a Gunner in in the Field Artillery Brigade. Service number 33318.
Gnr Allison embarked with the February Reinforcements, Field Artillery Brigade from Melbourne on HMAT Shropshire on 11 May 1917. Later joining the 12th Army Brigade, Australian Field Artillery in France. He developed heart problems and returned to Australia on 10 January 1918 and was medically discharged.
Married Bertha Miriam Ross in 1920.
Died at Malvern, 15 December 1961 Aged 67.
Cremated and ashes interred at Springvale Botanical Cemetery (which I have been documenting veterans graves there).
