Biography

"...3095 Private Victor Charles Friberg, 8th Battalion. A cabinet maker from Ivanhoe, Vic prior to enlistment, Pte Friberg, embarked with the 7th Reinforcements, 24th Battalion from Melbourne on HMAT Commonwealth on 26 November 1915. After transferring to the 8th Battalion, he died of wounds received in action at Ypres, aged 23, and is buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
