Son of H. Bell of Beach Street, Cottesloe, WA. Brother of Bert Adams Bell who was killed iin action on 28 July 1916 while serving with the 28th Battalion and F.W. Bell VC who served with the Royal Irish Dragoon Guards serving service in both the Boer War and later in France
