6 May 1917:	Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 6269, 11th Infantry Battalion, Bullecourt (Second), SW to head and arm sustained near Bullecourt. Evacuated to 3rd Aust CCS (situated at Grevillers) however died of wounds the next day, 7 May 1917.

Pte 1036 William Henry Hamming enlisted in the AIF on 7 Sep 1914 and embarked overseas, however was discharged as MU on 14 April 1915.

He re-enlisted in the AIF on 20 July 1916 (new SN 6269) and embarked overseas on 18 September 1916.

He was wounded near Bullecourt on 6 May 1917, having only joined the 11th Btn in the line on 1 May 1917.

He was evacuated to the 3rd Aust CCS (then situated at Grevillers, France), where he died of his wounds the next day 7 May 1917.
