2 Sep 1945: Involvement Royal Australian Navy, Leading Stoker, 33926, Royal Australian Navy, On 2 Sep 1945, Robert L Roy (aged 23) was present in Tokyo Bay on board the N Class Destroyer HMAS Napier during the signing of Japanese Surrender. The Napier's crew signed a ship's flag which was on display at the Australian Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour, Sydney in 2012 during ANZAC Day celebrations. Robert L Roy's signature was clearly visible on the flag.
