Biography

"Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, of Dutson,  have received word that their son,  James,  had been killed in action. The  deceased soldier, who was a grandson  of the  late Major Wilson, Was 19  years of age, and enlisted two  years  ago." - from the Gippsland Times 25 Oct 1917 (nla.gov.au)

 

"WILSON.- Died on the field of honour, France, in  the recent great offensive, Corporal James T.  Wilson, eldest loved son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J.  Wilson, of Dutson, and grandson of the late  Major J. Rylott Wilson, of Sale, aged 19. A brave young life nobly ended.
