Private Jarrett went right through the Gallipoli campaign and was transferred to the Australian Camel Corps in 1916.

His brother Private Leo Jarrett was in the 13th Field Ambulance Corps (Australian Imp Force) and won the M.M. in France
He is remembered in the United Kingdom on the Tunbridge Wells [Kent] and the Crowborough [Sussex] war memorials and also on the High Brooms memorial plaque as Private E. Jarrett.

"PRIVATE E. J. JARRETT, Colton
The accompanying photo, is that of Private Eric J. Jarrett, who went to the Dardanelles some six months ago. Since his arrival in Australia he has spent most of his time in and around Colton, and was a member of the Colton Football Club. He joined the Light Horse in Adelaide, but was subsequently transferred to the Queensland 11th Light Horse Regiment, with which he has gone to the front. He was born at Tunbridge Wells, England, and is descended from a very old English Catholic family. His father has been organist in St. Augustine's Church in Tunbridge Wells for over 30 years." - from the Adelaide Southern Cross 17 Dec 1915 (nla.gov.au)
