Private John Sharp, 26 years of age, who died of wounds, was a native of Dundee near Glen Innes. For many years he was employed at Mr. W.T. Cadell's Deepwater Station. He enlisted in the first contingent, and was a splendied type of Australian bushman, greatly admired.
