8 Aug 1915: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 2179, 7th Infantry Battalion, The August Offensive - Lone Pine, Suvla Bay, Sari Bair, The Nek and Hill 60 - Gallipoli, Multiple BW sustained at Lone Pine (after only arriving at Gallipoli on 5 August 1915). Evacuated to Egypt and transferred to light duties. Did not rejoin unit.

1 Aug 1916: Transferred AIF WW1, Private, Kit Stores, Fulham UK, where he served until being admitted to Fulham Hospital with pneumonia and influenza on 31 October 1918, and of which he died there on 3 November 1918.
