True name said to be John Derrick Smith

Son of John Thomas and Rebecca Smith, of "Tricot", Oakey, Queensland.

Only last week the sad news was conveyed to Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Smith 'Tricot', Oakey, that their only son Private Jack Smith, had been killed in action in France.
