Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Edward Victor Barrow was the son of Edward and Emily Barrow, of Wahgunyah, Victoria. He was known as Victor to his family and friends.
His older brother, 517 Sergeant John William Barrow 3rd Battalion AIF, was later killed in action at Bullecourt 5 May 1917, aged 24.
Edward served with the 4th Light Horse Regiment on Gallipoli from 2 October 1915. He was transferred to the 3rd Battalion, probably to be with his brother, on 11 December 1915. He died during the very heavy fighting near Mouquet Farm during August 1916.
His mother Emily lived to the age of a hundred, passing away in Corowa during 1970.
