Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Andrew was one of three sons of Andrew and Christina Geddes, of Yarloop, Western Australia who served overseas in the AIF. His brother, 904 Pte Don Geddes, an original of the 11th Battalion, had his arm very badly shattered by shrapnel at Gallipoli and was invalided home. Another brother, Major Robert Geddes served with the 32nd Battalion and was awarded a Military Cross.
Andrew was reported to have last been seen badly wounded in the back, at Mouquet Farm, during the 51st Battalion’s assault on 3 September 1916. His remains were never found.
