Son of Emily Chipper of 135 Lincoln Street, Highgate Hill, Perth, Western Australia. Henry enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 14 January 1915 and embarked from Fremantle, W.A. for active service abroad on 19 April 1915 per HMAT "Argyllshire" (A8). He was killed in action at The Nek, aged 22 years.
