Biography

Reason Hugh (Sykes) Seinor was born in Warialda, New South Wales to Samuel and Margaret Seinor. He enlisted on the 17th May 1915 at the age of 33 years and 9 months of age. He enlisted in Perth, Western Australia.  His service number was 2530.

At embarkation he was allocated to the 7th Reinforcements, 16th Infantry Battalion. After being taken on strength by the battalion Reason was posted to D Company, 16th Infantry Battalion.

Prior to enlisting, Reason worked for 2 years as a tailor's presser for Thompson and Company in Perth, Western Australia. He was killed in action on the 8 August 1915 at Gallipoli. He has no known grave but is memorialised on the Lone Pine Memorial and the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour.
