Leslie Lindner's Military Medal Citation
At Messines on 10th June 1917.
As No. 1 on a Lewis Gun Private LINDNER did extremely useful and resourceful work with his gun.
Later when pressed for N.C.Os he volunteered for, and carried out a very dangerous patrol under heavy M.G. and sniper fire bringing back valuable information regarding enemy positions.
Throughout he set a splendid example to his men.
