Son of Alfred Albert De Vere and Clara De Vere of Aberon Street, Coogee, NSW. 

Commenced return to Australia on 28 March 1919 aboard HT Port MacQuarie disembarking on 26 May 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.
