Full name Edward Andrew O'Connor but served as Edward O'Connor.

Son of Andrew O'Connor and Margaret O'Connor of Cecilia Street, Belmore, NSW.

On 23 December 1918 Edward married Christina Woods in the Registry Office, Wandsworth, London, England. Registrar W.G. Pinhorn officiated.

Commenced return to Australia on 16 Jamuary 1919 aboard HT Demosthenes disembarking on 6 March 1919
