Biography

Eric Howard Albert DOMSALLA was born in 1893 in Bethnal Green, London, England

His parents were Adolph Amandus DOMSALLA and Emma Amelia WINGFIELD

He enlisted on 27th January, 1916 with the Australian Army - he was in the 12th Australian Field Artillery Brigade, 10th reinforcements- Unit embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Port Lincoln on 4th May, 1916

He was wounded in action and died of wounds on 27th August, 1917 -He is commemorated at the Australian War Memorial and the WA Roll of Honour in Perth, WA

News has been received that Bombardier Eric H Domsalla who enlisted from this district in January, 1916 has beeen killed at the Front.  The deceased soldier was for some time prior to his enlistment engaged as a porter at the Railway Station.  His parents reside in England.
