Son of Walter Robert Tringham J.P. and Isabella Jane Tringham. Brother of Lucy Dulling nee Tringham of Colombo, Ceylon

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

He was a volunteer with the Ceylon Planters Rifle Corps

In Ceylon  he was a tea planter. Thinking he could achieve more in Australia he went to Perth, WA where he gained a Government lease for a few hundred acres leaving it only to enlist for the War
