Son of  Michael Hussey and Elizabeth Hussey nee Ryan of 'Callanballan Station', Skipton, Victoria.

Bernard Hussey who served with the 1st Australian Division Motor Transport Company returning to Australia on 12 July 1919; George Hussey who served with the 8th Light Horse Regiment returning to Australia on 29 August 1919; John Hussey who served with the 8th Battalion.  Died of wounds 10 August 1918 and is buried in the Vignacourt British Cemetery Plot V, Row D, Grave 17; Charles Hussey who served with the 60th Battalion. Killed in action on 19 July 1916 and has no known grave. His name appears on Panel 20 of the VC Corner Memorial
