27 Oct 1916: Honoured Military Medal, The August Offensive - Lone Pine, Suvla Bay, Sari Bair, The Nek and Hill 60 - Gallipoli, For gallantry and devotion to duty when on the nights of 19 and 20 August 1915 Sgt Blenkinsop (then a Corporal in the 13th Battn. A.I.F.) was sent out to gain information as to the country in front, in view of an attack by the 13th Battn. on 21 August. This work was carried out by him very skillfully in face of considerable danger and the information gained was of considerable use in the attack that followed.
