Brother of Edmund(Edward) James Unwin who returned to Australia on 5 July 1918 having served with the 14th Battalion; Charles William Unwin who return to Australia on 4 February 1919 having served with the 8th Battalion and Herbert Allen Unwin who returned to Australia on 28 June 1919 having served with the 58th Battalion
