Private J. Williams. killed in action, was about 28 years of age, and lived with his father Mr. C. F. Williams in Holm-street, Ballarat North. He was for some time employed in the flour mills of Messrs. Thomas and Sons, Armstrong-street. He enlisted in Tasmania as one of the contingent sent from that State. For a time he worked in the Mount Lyell mine.
