Son of John Henry Quist and Olive M. M. Quist of Wollongong, NSW. Brother of Rupert Gustave Quist who was killed in action on 19 July 1916 while serving with the 53rd Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on VC Corner Cemetery & Memorial. His name appears on Panel 9.
