He was 23 and the son of George and Mary Ann Chapman, of Church St., Sawtry, Peterborough, England.

Sawtry (/soʊtriː/) is a village and civil parish in Cambridgeshire, England.[1] Sawtry lies approximately 8 miles  north of Huntingdon. Sawtry is situated within Huntingdonshire which is a non-metropolitan district of Cambridgeshire as well as being a historic county of England.
