Son of Richard Venn-Brown and Esther Venn-Brown nee Jacobson of Northwood Road, Longueville, NSW.
Brother of Bruce Venn Brown who returned to Australia on 7 February 1920 having served with the 7th Field Artillery Brigade; Felix Venn-Brown who returned to Australia on 15 December 1919 having served with the Army Medical Corps.
Commenced return to Australia on 15 May 1919 aboard HT Ypringa disembarking on 5 July 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to sydney
