Harold Anderson Packer was born in 1895 near North Adelaide. He was 19 and a ½ when he enlisted to fight in orld War I. With a height of 5 ¾ inches and a weight of 138lbs he was tall for the time with not a lot of girth to back it up. Harold’s profession was an operator before he enlisted for the war. When he enlisted, he joined the 6th Field Artillery Brigade on the 28/5/15, with service number 8408. On the 6/4/18 Packer was transferred to the 5th field artillery as a Sapper where he finished his service. Packer reported for leave on the 25/12/18. On the 27/7/19 he would bord the Ypringa. He would later be discharged on the 24/8/19.
