Capt. Noman Matthew Pearce

Norman Matthew Pearce was born in Windsor N.S.W in 1881. He listed his occupation before joining the AIF as a Grazier. He had also served in the Boer War as a Lieutenant.

Norman Matthew Pearce enlisted on 22 Sep 1914 aged 33. he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suevic on 21 Dec 1914.

Norman was killed in action in Egypt on 29 Jul 1916 when a sniper shot him whilst out on patrol at Et Maler, Sinai Peninsula.

Next of kin was his father, Matthew Squire Pearce, of Stanhope, Kellyville.

Norman saw active service with the 6th Light Horse Regiment at Galiipoli and Egypt
