William George,Sinclair

William George Sinclair was born in Cobar, N.S.W. He lived in Blacktown before he enlisted. William George Sinclair's next of kin was S.Sinclair. She lived "Severn Cottage" in Blacktown. His mother was notified of Private Sinclair's death in The Sunday Times.

William George Sinclair enlisted on the 3rd of May 1915 at the age of 22. William George Sinclair embarked at Sydney on the HMAT "Wandilla".William George Sinclair was a wheelwright before he enlisted to the army.

William George Sinclair fought with the 13th battalion. Private Sinclair was wounded in action in the Australia Gully, Gallipoli on the 21st of August 1915 when he was shot in the back by a stray bullet. He died of his wounds at the 16th casualty station,Anzac,Gallipoli on August 21st 1915.

Private Sinclair is remembered with honour on the Lone Pine Memorial in Turkey but has no known grave. Before Private Sinclair enlisted, he was a member of Lodge Kildare, Blacktown.
