Son of Robert James Quick and Edith Letitia Quick nee Avery of Talbot Street, Ballarat, Victoria.
Apprenticed to Heinz Bros Pty. Ltd. for three years
Commenced return to Australia on 4 May 1917 aboard HT Themistocles disembarking on 2 July 1917
Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal.
Post war he enter the Presbyterian religious order and for a while he was based in The Manse, Jervois Street, Port Augusta, SA.
During 1918c Robert married Matilda Sarah Laverick in Victoria, During 1940c he re-married to Louisa Sarah Smith in Victoria.
