Son of Edward and Annie ROUT, 82 Campbell Street, Newtown, New South Wales.

Husband of Muriel C ROUT, 41 Cooks Avenue, Daceyville, New South Wales.

Private C. F. Rout, of Newtown, aged 23, has been reported missing since August 7. He sailed with the 4th Reinforcements of the 3rd Battalion in March last, and wrote to say that  he had reached the firing line three months ago. He was a native of Burwood. He is well known in Camperdown and Newtown. He is a married man with one child.

His brother William was appointed Home Service at Liverpool and Garrison Hospitals.

ROUT.-In sad but loving memory of my dear husband, Charles Francis Rout, of Newtown, killed at Lone Pine, August 7 and 12, 1915.
