6 Sep 1915: Wounded AIF WW1, Lieutenant, 2nd Field Artillery Brigade , Reported sick (Enteric Fever). Gallipoli.
7 Sep 1915: Embarked AIF WW1, Lieutenant, 2nd Field Artillery Brigade , Embarked from Gallipoli on H.S. Nevasa. Admitted to Tigne Hospital, Malta, with Enteric Fever.
24 Dec 1915: Wounded AIF WW1, Lieutenant, 2nd Field Artillery Brigade , PROCEEDINGS OF A MEDICAL BOARD. Assembled at Military Hospital Tigne, Malta, 24 Dec 1915. The Officer reported sick at Anzac on the 6th September 1915. He was sent by H.S. "Nevasa" on 7th September: to Tigne Hospital, arriving 13th Sept: suffering from Enteric Fever. The attack progressed normally. On 8th. October he developed a dry pleurisy over left lower lobe. An effusion appeared on left side on 10th. October: About one pint of fluid was aspirated the same day. Some purulent fluid was drawn off on 18th. Oct. A staphylococcal vaccine prepared from sputum given on Dec. 2nd: A fresh left pleural effusion found on December 4th. A portion of 8th. rib resected on December 5th and a fairly large amount of pus evacuated. He has improved since the operation. Present Condition: Has lost much weight, and is pale, wasted and incapable of any exertion. The Board recommend that he be transferred to Australia. He is likely to be unfit for General Service for four months.
