8 March 1920 - extract from the mother's letter - mother wrote to Base Records asking if she could receive some allotment money adding that the sister had received all the deferred pay and asked if Clarence had left a will.

Clarence will had made his sister Margaret Knight as next of kin but no will could be found

24 March 1920 - Base Records advised mother that she should furnish a Statutory Declaration that she had divorced Clarence's father for desertion and then her name would be added to the soldier's record
