Son of Donald Urquhart and Mary Sibba Urquhart nee Morris of James Street, Perth, WA. Brother of Ormond Hamilton Maxqell Urquhart who returned to Australia on 30 April 1919 having served with the 3rd Division Medium Trench Mortar Battery
24 September 1915 - enlisted at Bribane, QLD, with the 9th Field Artillery Brigade and with the rank of Private
2 January 1916 - promoted to Gunner
30 September 1916 - transferred to the 3 Division Medium Trench Mortar
29 September 1918 - wounded in action. Wound to the back resulting in Paralysis
