His older brother 3517 Private Frederick William Young 11th Battalion AIF, was killed in action at Pozieres 25 July 1916, age 33. Their parents were William Young and Mrs. Amelia Law Young, 33 Charles St. Maylands WA. The father died in 1917 and mother Amelia in 1921.
