FOR THE FRONT.
On Tuesday night last Mr. Gordon K. Cumming, son of . Mr and Mrs. A.Cumming, of Casino, who has volunteered for the front, was tendered a farewell at Dickenson's rooms by a large number of his friends. Major W.E. O'Brien presided, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. A lengthy toast list was gone through, and all the speakers referred in the most eulogistic terms to the many sterling qualities of the guest, and best wishes for his safe return were' expressed by all. During the evening Mr. Cumming was presented with a handsome silver wristlet watch as a token of his friends' esteem. Several songs, recitations, etc., by members of the company helped to make the evening most enjovable. Mr. Cumming left yesterday for Liverpool to go into camp.
