Marius Olsen is also remembered at the Queenscliff Memorial Garden.
After the death of his son at 1st Bullecourt in April 1917, Danish born, Marius Olsen Snr became a naturalised Australian citizen on 7 July 1917 and enlisted in the AIF (5th Pioneers) on 21 July 1917 at the age of 39.
He served overseas and returned home to Australia in December 1918.
