24 Dec 1916: Transferred AIF WW1, Sapper, 1st Tunnelling Company (inc. 4th Tunnelling Company)
20 Feb 1917: Wounded AIF WW1, Sapper, 417, 1st Tunnelling Company (inc. 4th Tunnelling Company), Admitted to 26th General Hospital, Etaples with self inflicted wound to cheek on 20th February 1917, succumbed to wounds on 22nd February 1917. Court of Inquiry findings that injury inflicted whilst of unsound state of mind.
