"...1717 Lance Corporal Edward Bathurst Beavis, 4th Battalion, of Bathurst, NSW, wearing a uniform with corporal's stripes. A photographer prior to enlistment, L Cpl Beavis embarked with the 4th Reinforcements from Sydney on HMAT Shropshire on 17 March 1915.
