Son of Norman Salisbury Laffer and Amelia Maria Laffer, of Burnside, South Australia.

Ord. Seaman Peter Morton Laffer, 23. son of Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Laffer, of Greenhill road, Burnside, was well known in horse-riding circles. He won  many trophies at shows for horse-riding events. He was a member of the Adelaide Riding Club. and was educated at Queen's College and Prince  Alfred College. He was an employe of W. D. and H. O Wills.
