"...WX9876 Corporal Timothy Joseph Ryan MM, 2/48 Battalion, of Midland Junction, WA. A railway employee prior to enlisting he received his Military Medal award for service at Sattelberg. Cpl Ryan was killed in action on 19 May 1945 at Tarakan, aged 28 years." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
